Ollivant: Vindman’s Refusal to Debate Is Political Cowardice

CULPEPER COUNTY, VA — Republican congressional candidate Doug Ollivant today issued the following statement on incumbent Rep. Eugene Vindman’s refusal to debate:

“Eugene Vindman’s refusal to debate is political cowardice, plain and simple. Virginians deserve leadership that listens, not an entitled elite who uses the word ‘democracy,’ cusses out his own constituents in a town hall, then refuses to engage his opposition in a debate. Just cowardly behavior.”

Ollivant and his campaign team give their thanks to the organizers who have worked in good faith to put debates on the calendar for the voters of Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. Ollivant, a believer in free-speech, has called for debates across the district.
