Election Information

Becoming an Officer of Elections

Officers of election are appointed each year by the Stafford County Electoral Board to work at the polls on election day. More than 300 officers are required for a general election. If you are available on election day, want to support the democratic process, provide a valuable service to your neighbors, and earn $125, please consider becoming an election official.  For more information and a list of requirements & responsibilities, visit the Stafford County Officer of Elections page.

Voting in Person

Early voting, which starts 45 days before a Primary or General Election Day, takes place in the ABC Conference in the Government Center, 1300 Courthouse Road, Stafford, VA 22554

If you plan to vote in person on Primary or Election Day, you can find your polling locations HERE.  The district where your precinct is located can be found HERE.  The Magisterial Chair for your district is HERE.

Absentee or Mail-in Voting

The Virginia Department of Elections site has information regarding absentee voting and voting by mail.
